As he put the cards down, Ryouma spoke. “The object of the game is to reach 21 points or to reach a score higher than the dealer without exceeding 21.The player or players are dealt an initial two card hand and add the total of their cards. Face cards (Kings, Queens, and Jacks) are counted as ten points. The player and dealer can count his ownaceas 1-point or 11 points. All other cards are counted as the numeric value shown on the card. After receiving their initial two cards, players have the option of getting a “hit,” which means taking an additional card. In a given round, the player or the dealer wins by having a score of 21 or by having the highest score that is less than 21. Scoring higher than 21 (called “busting” or “going bust”) results in a loss.”
He scratched the back of his head as he let out a nervous laughter. To him, it sounded like Ryouma was really good at the game while he is a complete beginner when it comes to card games. But then he thought about choosing either this or the chicken game, and he realized he’d rather lose here. “It sounds hard. Go easy on me, okay?”

The actor turned his attention to the blond and took a seat on the couch. “How about black jack?” Ryouma shuffled the cards like he had been a card dealer at a famous casino, smoothly and quickly.
Izumi thought Ryouma was trying to show off with the way he shuffled the cards, and that made the Sena male chuckle as he took a seat on the couch as well. “Sure, but how do we play that?”

“Yeah, it’s pretty old though.” Ryouma wondered what Izumi was looking at but figured it was the kitten. “Not sure, what’s your favorite game?” He took out the deck and counted them making sure there was 52 without jokers.
Since his attention was split between Ryouma and Kuro, he didn’t really hear what the taller male said about his manga collection. When he got back to focus on the box in front of them, the only thing he heard was the question thrown at him. “Uh..I don’t know. I don’t really play card games.”

“Yeah! I found a bunch of other things too; I don’t really know why they are in here, though.” The actor pulled out the deck and smiled back at Izumi before turning around again. “There’s manga, magazines,” Ryouma dug into the box, “Calendars, and a few novels.”
“Really? I didn’t know you read manga.” To make sure that Kuro wasn’t misbehaving, he walked backwards and bent his back a bit to see what the kitten was doing. Thankfully, it was just curled up in a ball by Ryouma’s improvised water container. He then breathed a sigh of relief as he walked closer to the box on the table. “What kind of card game should we play?”
